Fortnite Unknown Army
Fortnite’s Unknown Army real name is Dominick Green born on August 1st, 2002. Though Fortnite has given him huge success this is not the first game he started playing. Unknown started out playing games like Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Counter Strike.
In Fortnite Unknown Army is the deadliest controller player in the game and he shows this off time after time. Since he couldn’t afford a PC he was stuck on the controller and has mastered the controller. In time he found a way to start saving towards a PC and that is through wagers in creative.
Wagers for the most part are 1 on 1 battles and best out of 3 or 5 matches wins. The thing is both player wagers cash as the prize. In Fortnite Unknown Army repeatedly won these wagers and was able to purchase a really nice PC so he could have some nice luxuries like more frames per second.
Consoles usually max out about 60 frames per second where a computer can hit 240 or even higher.
World Cup
Fortnite’s Unknown Army saw the World Cup and was watching others qualify when he noticed the skill level was not much different than his own.
He started trying to qualify for the world cup and became the first controller player in the world to qualify for Fortnite’s World Cup. Two weeks later he would do it again being the only player to do so.
At the world cup Unknown Army had some problems with his drop spot and just terrible RNG with his loot. This made the game very difficult and he was also nervous hearing the announcers talk about his play while he was doing it live.
I’m sure a prize pool of 3 million dollars for first place also made him just a bit nervous.
Fortnite Unknown Army ended up coming in 69th place out of 100 which was still good for $50,000. Most people may give up at this point but no, not Unknown in face he said this:
“The times you are playing the worst are the times you are improving the most” – Unknown Army
Cash Cup King?
When he returned back home a new breed of tournament started to arise called the cash cup. These games were all online and gave some nice cash as prizes.
Unknown showed his skill and won a cash cup, then another and another. In total he has won 9 cash cups with 1st place finishes. At this time his social media and stream started gaining massive popularity.
There were definitely some pros that still shook him off saying it is all because of aim assist.

Creating a Hybrid Player
Now that Fortnite Unknown Army has proved himself on console a lot of people are saying it is just because aim assist is broken and that is why he is winning. He decided to put those comments to bed when he streamed a cash cup using keyboard and mouse.
People were so impressed as his aggressive play style has not slowed down at all and he was still doing very well. His aim obviously wasn’t as perfect since aim assist at this time was a bit broken but he still did amazing without aim assist. He ended up placing in 5th place for this cash cup.
NAE FNCS
In the North America (East) Fortnite Championship Series for squads Unknown Army wanted to play but no one wanted him on their team. At this point he has proved he can play controller or keyboard and mouse and still play well but still no one was interested.
Unknown Army took matters into his own hands and created his own team, here is the roaster:
- Vanguard Kez
- Stable Ronaldo
- Avery
- Unknownxarmy
They were able to qualify in the second week so they were moving onto the finals. At the Finals Fortnite Unknown Army crushed getting over 43% of the eliminations for his squad.
His squad always made sure he had the best loadout, shields and got him back up if he got knocked very fast. They knew he was vital to their team winning the whole thing but there’s no way they could do that or could they?
The squad took out team after team and ended up finding themselves in first place and $187,000 richer.
Fortnite Unknown Army Drive
Fortnite Unknown Army has such drive in the game and he never settles. He is always looking to better his skills on both platforms. This is not where his story ends.
He has recently played a duo cash cup with Khanadarr and ended up setting a record of points earned at 233. In February 2020 he also joined team NRG as their first “Hybrid Player”.
Conclusion
It will be interesting to see if Unknown Army sticks with console or moves over completely to mouse and keyboard. Now that aim assist has had another nerf of 30% people are saying it is very noticeable.
Either way though Fortnite Unknown Army has prepared for this and he has his choice of platform. Please feel free to revisit our articles as they are updated as more of their story is told.
