CourageJD Social Media
In Fortnite he is known as CourageJD who’s real name is Jack Dunlop was born April 23rd, 1994. Let’s talk about how he got to where he is now. CourageJD caught the FPS (first person shooter) bug early on and enjoyed this type of game style. He was by no means a pro at the game but enjoyed it and really liked to have fun with it.
Halo 3 released on September 25th, 2007 and I know this because CourageJD always quotes this date as when his career started. At the time he was working for MLG as a summer intern. Chris Puckett, MLG’s only host, ended up getting sick. Chris called the studio and said the show would have to be canceled. Courage said, I can do it. MLG decided to give him a shot and see how it goes. It went great, not only did Courage get to host the show that day but for 45 consecutive days before he had to return to Towson University to continue his education.
Later he would get a call to help cast a huge event, the MLG AW Open. He was so excited he instantly accepted. While casting the event they had dropped in the game feed connection and the viewers couldn’t see what was happening. No Courage though he was still able to view the game. He then radio broadcasted the game so everyone could still know what was going on at the end of this crucial game. They hired him on the spot after that full time.
Courage was accomplishing his goals of being in the Esports scene but something was still missing. He wanted to be more of a gamer and decided to start streaming. He had good numbers averaging around 170 users straight. He really enjoyed it and he always made his streams and videos fun with his explosive energy like he has been doing since his very first video.
He later signed with Call of Duty World League and this boosted his status even more. Now he was averaging closer to 1,000 viewers on stream. He stayed with the World League for 3 years then made the hardest decision of his life. He quit to pursue becoming an independent gamer.
CourageJD was then playing a new game known as Fortnite, I’m sure you all heard about it. In Fortnite CourageJD could even show more of his funny style and make you feel like your watching a good friend. Everyone always enjoys his intro which is “Ladies and Gentlemen“.
He was doing so well as a solo gamer and Fortnite was thriving, not only that but it was rocketing his numbers as well. In the near future he would hit 1 million subscribers on YouTube and then 2 million! He was streaming daily on Twitch and his numbers were doing amazing as well then this happened. Ninja raided his stream with 120,000 viewers. CourageJD instantly ran around and screamed “Mom get the camera“. This grew him even larger than he was.
A lot of people love the original Fortnite Squad who played together all the time and had amazing chemistry. Here is a list of the players that were on that squad.

- Dr. Lupo
- SypherPK at times as well
In Fortnite CourageJD’s class clown style worked well with this group of players and they all enjoyed playing the game to the max.
Fortnite $100,000,000 Tournament Season
When Fortnite introduced they would be giving out 100 million dollars in prizes we all know who we wanted to hear broadcast the events. Fortnite CourageJD has had so much experience from other games he is the perfect fit and he went on to do some amazing commentary.
One day Fortnite CourageJD was doing random duo’s in Fortnite and came across an 11 year old named Connor. He instantly friended Connor and told Connor they would get his first win together. They talked about lots of different things in that game but Courage also stayed focused so he can get the win for him. He then got the victory royale and Connor was speechless, Courage looked like he was about to cry.
Courage didn’t stop playing games with Connor there, he continues to team up with him from time to time and also brings in other famous streamers like Ninja and Dr. Lupo to talk to him. Connor is really a nice well behaved kid and gets so excited everytime they talk.
Always be Plugging
Another thing Courage likes to do is plug his channels. He does it as a joke but at the same time is serious about it. He will always shout himself out on other people’s channels as he thinks it’s funny. He has repeatedly done this on Timthetatman’s stream.
Tim and Courage also known as the gerth quake when together have an interesting friend ship to say the least. Courage was nice enough to make a teddy bear for Tim’s new born son. Tim was blown away and they showed it all on stream. When you squeeze the bears hand he says something nice, then says don’t forget to follow @CourageJD.
In May 2019 Fortnite CourageJD joined 100 Thieves as a content creator. Him and Nadeshot go way back from the Call of Duty days so it makes for a perfect match. You can tell he is over the moon to be on the team. He has also recently signed an exclusive contract to stream only on YouTube Gaming.
Yes, I can’t talk about CourageJD and not talk about Ariana. If you haven’t seen the videos then I will clear up the confusion for you. CourageJD is in love with Ariana Grande and has been trying to get a date with her for a very long time. He always jokes about how they sing the same and have very similar whistle tones.
100 Thieves and Scooter (Ariana’s agent) helped make a music video on YouTube about it. It was hilarious and though she never replied later on he would possibly get a chance to meet her. That day he was very nervous and as he saw her he gave her a one arm hug and Arianna introduced him as her boyfriend. I think to this day Courage still misses her.
CourageJD is not done yet, he keeps exploding more and more on the scene. With the newest Fornite event his stream hit 132,000 viewers a new record for him. Now that Fornite is back in the mix we have Fortnite CourageJD back in the saddle so strap in this will be a crazy ride.
